CARING FOR YOUR ICE MAKER

Proper Ice machine installation, together with care and maintenance will ensure efficiency, top performance and long life of your product. Approximately 80% of ice machine failure in the field is ironically due to water. Use of a water filter and cleaning are the best offense in keeping your machine in perfect shape.

 
WATER FILTRATION

The ice maker should be connected to the water supply with proper filtration. Failure to provide water filtering will dramatically reduce the life of the ice maker due to scale, sediment or particles clogging the water system and over working the compressor

 
YOUR ICE MACHINE IS NOT A FREEZER

If the ice maker is self contained, it should never be used as a cooler and store in it objects like wine and beer bottles beer. These objects may be unsanitary and their labels may slip off and clog the drain

 
CLEANING

The following should be kept clean and the Ice making system should be periodically cleaned and sanitized 

  • The exterior
  • The interior
  • Water distribution tube 
  • Ice making system

The installation and cleaning procedures are specified in the machines use and care manual

 
INSTALLATION

The ice maker should be installed in a well ventilated place and within its specified ambient and water temperature range and without any obstructions in its air vents.
